Andrea Mitchell
Andrea Mitchell (born in New York City) is a American television reporter, commentator and anchor of NBC News based at Washington D.C. Mitchell holds a bachelor's degree in English language from University of Pennsylvania. Mitchell began her career with KYW Radio and TV as an Philadelphia reporter in the year 1967. She joined the CBS affiliate WDVM-TV (then WTOP) in Washington DC in 1976. A few years later, she was a general correspondent at NBC News in Washington. In 1981, she began covering the White House, and in 1988 was named chief congressional correspondent. Mitchell was appointed Chief White House reporter in 1992, and chief Foreign Affairs reporter for NBC News. Mitchell was a panelist, as well as anchor of the TV show Meet the Press. Mitchell was on a panel for the 1988 presidential debates featuring George Bush (then president) as well as Michael Dukakis. Mitchell is married with Alan Greenspan, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. In 2005, Mitchell received the prestigious Goldsmith Career Award for Excellence in Journalism from the John F.
